Traditional training sessions have very little “hands on” interaction.
Simply watching a video or answering questions in PowerPoint does not provide the same feeling of engagement as having to actually perform tasks and see first hand the consequences of the individual’s decisions.

A trainer can go one-on-one or monitor a multitude of sessions simultaneously regardless of where the learners are, be them in a classroom, at home, or a continent away. Training is now consistent across the business enterprise at all locations. One-on-one and group training is “centralized” without the need for travel or classrooms.
The trainer monitors all sessions on one or more screens. Whenever a learner needs help, a request is sent to the trainer which flashes that session on the screen. The trainer can then enter that individual session and interact directly with the learner.

Learners are taught to perform a job function by actively interacting with a Non-Player Character (NPC). At the beginning of each learning module, an NPC walks the learner through each aspect of the task with the learner actively performing each step throughout the learning session.
At the end of the module or session, the learner then has to repeat all tasks without the benefit of the NPC showing how to do it. During this portion of the session, Desert Saber’s Adaptive Learning Cycle™ automatically modifies different portions of the task to identify not only the learner’s retention level, but how well the learner reacts to unexpected circumstances.
Learners are taught in an open world that gives the learner more latitude to make good and bad decisions; decisions have consequences, and consequences (whether good or bad) are injected into the open world to further affect the scenario.
Depending upon the module design, learners can enter a session on their own and update their skill level without supervision.
When the learner is in Supervised Mode (i.e. a trainer is available), the learner can request help and a trainer is alerted and may enter that individual’s session to directly interact to help resolve the issue.
As data is accumulated from many sessions, Desert Saber’s unique AI can be configured to automatically insert an NPC that can answer questions that might arise, lessening the load on trainers.
This allows learners to learn at their own pace without slowing the rest of the cohort down. Now the fast learners can continue to be engaged without being distracted by novices who might need additional help on specific tasks.
In addition to the focus on individual learning, the platform supports a sophisticated multi-user structure. A session can be easily designed and implemented to have multiple workers work together to solve complex problems. They can each interact from wherever they are – in the same place or a continent away.
Whether it’s a team working an emergency response scenario or a crew working on repairs, teams and/or cohorts can train together from anywhere, no expensive travel required.
Team exercises are simply another PPE-Suite™ session incorporating the inherent platform analytics to determine the best outcomes, as well as track and compare team and individual progress from each engagement to present.
Whether it is a short micro-learning module for a quick refresher or new SOP, or a longer session for full training (either alone or in a team) or an HR job screening exercise, the Learning Experience is available 24/7, anytime, anyplace without needing training rooms, kiosks or special computer labs.
